A Newcomer's Absurdly Ungraceful Journey Into The World of Pilates

Day Fourteen

So I have completed an entire month of Pilates and thought I'd take a moment to evaluate my progress...

  • Total pounds lost: 0. But, I have decided that isn't necessarily a negative thing. I know I have gotten stronger, so I've probably built muscle. And, for my weight to stay the same while building muscle, I must have burned some fat, right? Right!
  • Inches lost around my waist: 1! That's right. An inch. And I am darn proud of that inch. I am one of those unfortunate souls who carries all my excess weight in the front middle (the pregnant look). So loosing an inch around the waist is an accomplishment for me. Oh, yeah!
  • Things I can do now that I couldn't do a month ago: Roll like a ball. Create a "C" curve. Cry whenever someone say the word "saw." Show my knees whose boss.

Been a great month! Can't wait to see where I am in another month.
