Death to faulty DVD players!
I seriously considered leaving the post at that. It was an interesting work out this morning. I was doing really well and we got to the leg lifts. Because of the particular position of my television relative to my place on the floor of my living room, I can't really watch the tv the entire time I'm working out. I just glance up now and then to make sure I'm still on track.
We - notice how I include Heather and Ashleigh, as if they were actually doing the work along with me - were doing leg lift thingies and I'm noticing they are doing them much more slowly than I am. Slower is harder, I don't know if you realize that. Things shake more when the lifts are done more slowly. So I'm pretty much dying trying to figure out why it's so much of a challenge suddenly.
Finally I stopped and just watched the dvd. Guess what? The dvd was catching, sticking. You know what I'm talking about. Like there was a little smudge or scratch or something and it would get stuck for just a second and then move ahead, but get stuck again. So the lifts were taking at least TWICE as long as they should. I was dying. All because of technology.
Good grief, to quote Charlie Brown.
We're good, though. I took the dvd out. Blew the dust off. Stuck it back in (yeah, that's right, I cued it back up to where I was - I wasn't about to start all over again!) and it ran much better.
But I still have a temporary vendetta against my dvd player.
