I am noticing a pattern.
Though I am managing to get two workouts in each week, I am only pulling off one blog entry. Hmmm....
This morning's workout was a challenge. I knew it would be a hectic day so I got up and did my pilates before my kids got up. I am not a morning person. I am an anti-morning person. I laid down on my cushy pilates mat and thought, repeatedly, how easy it would be to assume resting position and then just go back to sleep. No one would ever know, right? My little secret.
But then the background music for the dvd started up and it was like I couldn't help myself. Suddenly I'm doing roll-downs entirely against my will. "How is she doing this?" I am silently demanding, sort of glaring at Heather in the video. I am convinced there is some kind of powerful subliminal message built in to the dvd that absolutely forces a regular viewer to work out. Handy, but annoying.
So, I survived the workout and feel pretty good about it. It would have been really easy to just skip it. But I didn't.
And, the way I figure it, if I can get myself to workout in the wee hours of the morning when I very closely resemble a man-eating lion with a migraine, then I have come a LONG, LONG way since Day One.
